Boris Brejcha has announced that he will retire from music in 2028, bringing an end to a career spanning more than two decades. The German DJ and producer confirmed the decision in a video statement shared on October 24th, 2026, outlining his plans for his final two years as a performing artist.

According to Brejcha, the decision has been developing for several years. He spent the past two years considering the next chapter of his life before deciding to make the announcement public. He also expressed his gratitude to the fans who have supported him throughout his career.

“You have given me so much strength, and that’s why I want to give just as much strength back to you when we celebrate together one last time in 2028,” says Brejcha in the video.

The producer confirmed that 2027 will mark his final year performing at festivals. In 2028, he will embark on his farewell headline tour, ‘Last Chapter: Becoming the Joker Tour 2028’, offering audiences one final opportunity to see his live performances. Further dates and tour details will be announced at a later stage.

Known for his self-defined High-Tech Minimal sound and distinctive Joker mask, Brejcha began releasing music in 2006 and made his first live appearance that same year at Universo Paralello Festival in Brazil. Since then, he has developed an international following through his productions and performances.
