Claude VonStroke has revisited his 2006 debut album, ‘Beware of the Bird’, with a 20th-anniversary deluxe edition released through Wrong Number Records.
The expanded release brings together the original album and a selection of remixes, while also introducing the first complete vinyl pressing of the project.
Originally released in 2006, ‘Beware of the Bird’ collected some of Claude VonStroke’s earliest productions, including ‘Deep Throat’, ‘The Whistler’, and ‘Who’s Afraid of Detroit?’. Produced in his bedroom, the tracks helped establish his playful, bass-driven approach to house music.
For the anniversary edition, the artist has assembled remixes from Mike Kerrigan, DJ Sneak, Justin Martin, DJ Assault, Kevin Saunderson, Paul C, Mary Droppinz and Drezza, Patrick Chardronnet, and Alland Byallo.
The reworks offer new interpretations of several tracks from the original album, including ‘Deep Throat’, ‘Beware of the Bird’, ‘The Whistler’, and ‘Chimps’.
The anniversary follows the artist’s return in 2026 with ‘Wrong Number’, an album focused on stripped-back arrangements, minimal grooves, and underground club music.
The deluxe edition also reconnects with the early history of Dirtybird, the label founded by Claude VonStroke, which grew alongside his international career.
