Felsmann + Tiley have released ‘Reinterpretations #2’ via Embassy One, continuing their series of reinterpretations of material from their album ‘Protomensch’.
The three-track release features contributions from Meredi, Sofi Paez, and Lambert, each revisiting a composition from the original album through piano-led arrangements.
While the first installment explored the duo’s electronic dance music influences, the second takes a more introspective approach, moving between neo-classical composition, ambient textures, and electronic music.
Meredi opens the release with a reinterpretation of ‘Memory’, using piano to emphasize the original composition’s melodic elements. Sofi Paez follows with ‘Reset’, introducing shifting dynamics and gradual crescendos.
Closing the collection, Lambert reworks ‘Open Fields’, retaining the original vocals while introducing warmer piano arrangements and additional melodic interplay.
The release extends the musical framework established on ‘Protomensch’, an album that received coverage from CLASH, Under the Radar, The Big Takeover, and Numéro Netherlands.
