Kora joins the EG Podcast series with EG.1093, presenting a session recorded in his Montreal studio following a visit to local record shop La Rama. The recording combines vinyl discoveries with digital selections, exploring deeper, faster, and more hypnotic rhythmic territory.
The project of Quebec-born producer, DJ, and live performer Mikael B. Robillard, Kora draws on nearly two decades of experience behind the decks. His approach incorporates house music, atmospheric textures, and rhythmic influences connected to his background in piano and percussion.
The session emerged after an afternoon of record shopping, when recommendations from La Rama’s Emilio introduced the artist to records that would eventually find their way into the mix.
The tracklist includes selections from Djrum, Sebo K, Lb Honne, Wallace (UK), Oli Vez, Keanu (CA), Juliana Urban, Hame, Sasha Novinskaya, DIKKA, Hraach, Miikael, Gudj, Patrick Holland, Jump Source, Priori, and Efdemin, alongside several unidentified tracks.
Beyond the mix, Kora’s catalog includes releases through Bedrock Records, Anjunadeep, Kindisch, Sol Selectas, and Decca. He also holds a residency at Stereo Montréal and co-founded the label Saisons Musique.
